JSON Schema Validator

Validate JSON data against a JSON Schema and see precise error paths

How to use

  1. Paste your JSON Schema into the schema pane.
  2. Paste the JSON data to validate into the data pane.
  3. Errors are listed with their exact JSON path (e.g. /users/2/email) and a human-readable reason.

About this tool

Contract testing starts with validation: does this payload match what we promised? This validator reports every violation with its exact path, so debugging a 50-field payload is a checklist rather than a guessing game. Pair it with the schema generator: infer a schema from a known-good sample, hand-tune it, then enforce it.

Frequently asked questions

Which JSON Schema drafts are supported?

Draft 2020-12 and draft-07, covering the keywords used by most real schemas: type, properties, required, items, enum, minimum/maximum, minLength/maxLength, pattern, format (basic), anyOf/oneOf/allOf, $ref.

What do the error paths mean?

Each error shows the location inside your data document, e.g. /users/2/email means the email field of the third array element. Fix data at that path and re-run.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Validation runs entirely in your browser.
